Inspired by a YouTuber who made a video about Ravel’s favorite interval I was inspired to write a hommage to the great French composer. In this piece Ravel invites the listener to dance a menuet with him. One can hear the invitation, the dance itself, the intermezzo, a pirouette, the final embrace and goodbye.
The composition is dedicated to my piano teacher Danielle Dechenne.
